Ali Hewson
In 1985, Ali travelled and worked in Ethiopia, an experience which gave her a desire to work for better opportunities in Africa. Returning to Ireland, she completed a bachelor's degree in Sociology & Political Science.
Ali has been actively involved in charity work in Ireland. Through her work with the Chernobyl Children’s project, she has frequently delivered aid to the local hospitals helping those suffering from the ongoing social and physical effects of that nuclear disaster. In recognition of this work she was awarded an honorary doctorate of Law by University College, Galway in 2002.
Ali is also a Co-Founder of Edun, an ethical fashion brand. Edun’s philosophy is to produce fashion that is manufactured according to fair-trade principles, at the same time focusing on improving sustainable fashion production in Africa.
Ali Hewson lives in Dublin with her husband Bono and is mother to two daughters and two sons.
Julianne Moore
Julianne Moore is an Academy Award nominated actress and children's book author. She is an ambassador for SAVE THE CHILDREN'S US programs, and active in Planned Parenthood, and the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance.
Julianne Moore lives in New York City with her family.
